
Yuxiao Chen
Yuxiao graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, with a Bachelor of Architecture (5 years) in 2018, and is currently at the end of a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Sydney under the Commonwealth Research Training Program scholarship. Her PhD thesis focused on the subjective audiovisual preference in music auditoria using the method of virtual reality.
Yuxiao joined Marshall Day Acoustics' Sydney office as a student intern in 2017 and became a full-time consultant in 2022. She has been involved in various room acoustics, research and development, and other projects. She specialises in 3D room acoustics modelling and auralisation in Odeon, computational design and software development in Grasshopper and Rhino 3D, and audiovisual virtual reality design and development. She is the main author of the Sightlines program and a number of internal software programs.
